About the Scholarship

The Northwest Oklahoma Osteopathic Foundation is now accepting applications for our new scholarship opportunity, the NOOF Medical Student Scholarship.

This $2,500 scholarship is awarded to osteopathic medical students to help offset educational expenses such as tuition, books, and fees. Preference is given to students who express a desire to practice medicine in Northwest Oklahoma and who demonstrate strong academic standing.

      • How these funds would assist you during the academic year

      • Your postgraduate practice plans;

      • Current connections to Northwest Oklahoma.

    • 3 Letters of Support

      • Current Medical Students

        • One (1) Osteopathic Medical College Faculty

        • One (1) Osteopathic Physician 

        • One (1) Community Leader

      • Students who have been accepted to a college of Osteopathic medicine & will begin classes in August.

        • One (1) Undergraduate Faculty Member

        • One (1) Osteopathic Physician

        • One (1) Community Leader

      • Current Transcript

        • Indicating cumulative GPA & Class Ranking

  • Key Dates

    • Application Deadline

      • March 31, 2026

    • Recipient Notification

      • No later than July 1, 2026

    • Scholarship Awarded

      • August 1, 2026

      • paid directly to your college’s Office of the Bursar

    • Scholarship applicants must be lawful residents of the United States.

    • Applicants must demonstrate a connection to Northwest Oklahoma, such as having family members in the region or being married to someone with ties to Northwest Oklahoma.

    • Preference will be shown to applicants who have indicated a desire to practice medicine in Northwest Oklahoma.

    • Class standing and cumulative GPA averages will be a major determining factor in granting scholarship awards. 

    • Finalists may be interviewed by members of the Northwest Oklahoma Osteopathic Foundation and/or their designees.
