About the Scholarship

The Northwest Oklahoma Osteopathic Foundation High School Senior Scholarship is a one-year, $1,000 scholarship designed to support graduating seniors from Northwest Oklahoma who are interested in pursuing a career as a physician. The scholarship is paid directly to the college or university selected by the recipient to help offset first-year educational expenses.

Students who apply for this scholarship will also become part of NOOF’s Physician Recruitment Program, giving them access to mentoring, physician shadowing, and hands-on healthcare experiences & financial support opportunities as they begin their journey toward medical school.

      • On a separate sheet of paper, list any athletic, academic, volunteer, or leadership accomplishments from your high school career.

    • Personal Statement (200 words or fewer)

      • On a separate sheet of paper, tell us about yourself, your interests, and why you want to pursue a career as a physician.  Please include any medical-related experiences, such as physician shadowing, healthcare volunteering, or participation in pre-med or medical exploratory programs, if applicable.

    • Official High School Transcript

      • Attach a current copy of your official high school transcript, including your current class ranking.

      • Paid directly to your college’s Office of the Bursar

    • Eligible applicants must be high school seniors attending a Northwest Oklahoma school with a demonstrated interest in medicine.

    • Scholarship applicants must be lawful residents of the United States.

    • Preference will be shown to applicants who have who indicate a desire to practice medicine in northwest Oklahoma.

    • Scholarship awards will be deposited with the Office of the Bursar of the College and credited for tuition, books, fees, and other applicable educational expenses. Funds will not be payable directly to the student.
